Since 2017, we have been a signatory of this United Nations Initiative, which aims to mobilize the business community around the world to adopt ten principles that represent fundamental values of human rights, labor relations, the environment and the fight against corruption.
Since 2017, we signed a commitment to the global agenda consisting of 17 goals and 169 targets to be achieved by 2030. The agenda includes measures for eradicating poverty, health, education, gender equality, reduction in equalities, energy, water and sanitation, sustainable production and consumption patterns, climate change, protection and sustainable use of oceans and terrestrial ecosystems, including economic growth, infrastructure and industrialization, among others.
Since 2019, we have been responding to the water security questionnaire and, since 2020, to the climate change questionnaire. We are in Categories B and C, respectively. CDP is an international non-profit organization that analyzes and recognizes business initiatives to minimize and manage the environmental impacts of its activities. The initiative operates a global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impacts.
In 2021, we signed the adhesion letter and the 10 commitments of the LGBTI+ Business and Rights Forum, an institution that brings together companies committed to the inclusion and defense of the LGBTI+ community and human rights. In Peru, we were already part of Pride Connection, a network of organizations that promotes inclusive work environments for the LGBTQIA+ community in the country. Our main purpose is to expand and strengthen the presence of people from these groups and make them feel increasingly welcomed and represented in the company.
In 2020, we signed a letter of commitment to the initiative to expand and strengthen the participation of women in the mineral industry, fostering a dynamic business environment, capable of attracting and maintaining them, capitalize on their strengths and recognize their values. This is an opportunity to take a closer look at women in communities impacted by mining and to value female entrepreneurship in the supply chain.
In 2021, we received the Women on Board (WOB) Seal, granted by the entity of the same name for the presence of women on our Board of Directors. WOB is an independent initiative that seeks to recognize and value the existence of corporate environments with the presence of women on boards of directors or advisory boards, highlighting the benefits of diversity in the business world and in society.
