Value Chain Engagement

Innovate with a partnership ecosystem

Our ambition is to become a benchmark in the sustainable management of the value chain, aiming to ensure competitiveness and leverage positive results with responsible actions in each business. Such practices consider ethical, human rights, labor, environmental and community impacts among our partners, including suppliers and consumers.

To achieve this objective, we have developed the Sustainable Value Chain Program, which aims to raise awareness of suppliers and customers on the topic and structure the full procurement process based on ESG criteria, including the selection, approval, contracting and development of business.

Management

Nexa’s Supplier Management Program has the mission of establishing an ongoing dialogue with partners who value and adopt our values. Regardless of the product offered or the service provided, it is essential for the Company that they are committed to seeking the best socio-environmental practices, using natural resources responsibly and respecting the rights of all employees.

To strengthen the dialogue with our partners and the process of continuous improvement in supplier management, we carry out our ESG Survey periodically.

It is worth highlighting that 31% of our suppliers surveyed are classified as leading companies in the topic.

Get to know our initiatives

To strengthen our responsibility to the value chain within our company and achieve the goals and objectives of our ESG Strategy, we have several initiatives in progress, including the following:

Supplier Evaluation Program

Supplier Evaluation Program

Aiming at business sustainability, we carry out an assessment and certification of our suppliers, in addition to an annual recognition event.

Plural Chain

Plural Chain

Initiative to engage suppliers with the plurality topic and show that we are looking for partners with the same position as us on this issue, as our desire is for the mining market to have an increasingly diverse, plural, equitable and inclusive environment.

The Project, the first in the industry, was created together with Empodera, a group of volunteer employees that addresses with women-related topics, and the company’s supply group, and was developed based on the guidelines of Woman Mining Brasil.

As of 2022, Plural Chain becomes a seal that acknowledges plurality initiatives in the supply chain within Nexa’s Supplier Recognition Program.
